I'm such a big foodie - I'm not a food blogger but I do love taking photos of my food, snapping my whole experience at the dining table and overly sharing my images on IG and FB! ;) 

So to kick start my love for yum-ness under the BANKSLIFE-STYLE food tab, we have my visit to Lotus Restaurant not too long ago. 

Opened in The Galeries of Sydney CBD early this year, (Yes they have a sister venue in Walsh Bay as well!) this beautifully raw textured but elegant chinese eatery is created by Chef Chris Yan. Who has had his hands covered with experience starting at Bill's in Surry Hills, Billy Kwong and China Doll.

I absolutely love the feel of this restaurant as soon as you walk in. It's got this minimal, industrial chic-ness feel to it, and floor to ceiling windows who can get anyone fangirling. By day you can imagine a warm sunlit lunch and by night, well nothing is as sexy as the city view of neon lights.

Overall, I'm a dumpling lover! So where there are dumplings, I'm there! I'm also so impressed that the dishes weren't oily like your traditional Chinese restaurant dishes, but then again, Lotus is not your traditional Chinese restaurant!
